Huawei has shipped more than 200 million smartphones this year setting a new record. The company issued a statement in this regard on Sunday. It is a tremendous achievement for the Chinese manufacturer and it is now among the top three players in the global smartphone market. The company has recently surpassed Apple to become the second largest smartphone vendor according to Canalys research report. Huawei president He Gang wanted to thank everyone for their love and support. Celebrating the achievement, Huawei announced the launch of commemorative editions of Huawei 20 Pro and Huawei Note 4.

The US security agencies have warned its citizens to avoid using Huawei smartphones as it suspects the mobiles are being used to spy for the Chinese government. The latest news stems from Weibo, wherein He Gang through his official account announced the launch of the commemorative editions.
